The Emergency Ward can be termed the “heart of the hospital” given the significance of the timely and appropriate measures for cardiac patients. This ward offers its services, ranging diagnostic to life-saving procedures, through the Emergency Ward Clinic and the Emergency Ward Coronary Care Unit (CCU). The Emergency Ward Clinic includes a triage room, two separate electrocardiography rooms for men and women, four examination rooms, one 12-bed monitoring room outfitted with pulse oximetry and noninvasive blood pressure monitoring, one 2-bed cardiopulmonary resuscitation room, one echocardiography room, one isolation room for infectious disease patients, one room for the resident cardiologist, and one fully-equipped nursing station. The Emergency Ward CCU features 23 beds (20 beds for adults and 3 for children) as well as state-of-the-art cardiac monitoring system, pulse oximetry, and noninvasive blood pressure monitoring. This ward provides services to over 40000 patients per year.
