This ward renders all current scanning modalities and in particular cardiac scanning procedures via one dual-head machine, two SPEC-CT machines, and one bone densitometry machine. The services include myocardial perfusion scanning at rest or with exercise, cerebral perfusion scanning, pulmonary scanning, gastrointestinal scanning, biliary tract scanning, thyroid and parathyroid scanning, bone densitometry, gated cardiac blood pool scanning with marked red blood cells, and UBI scanning for the diagnosis of some infections. This Center is one of the few of its kind utilizing CT alongside SPECT for a precise localization of lesions and correction of soft-tissue attenuation.
